From the 30 October to 5 November 2016 Charles and his paddling partner, Rory Mills paddled around the Florida Islands in the Solomon Islands.

The following route and schedule was completed:
28 October – Arrive SI o/n Honiara
29 Oct – Boat to drop-off point in Florida Islands o/n Tulagi
30 October – 04 November exploring the Florida Islands until 04 November o/n Tulagi
05 November – collection of kayak and crew from Tulagi.
Return to Honiara – overnight accommodation – dinner with SIVB
06 November – return HIA-BNE
