The World Ice and Snow Sailing Championships (WISSA – www.wissa.org )

I have had the opportunity to attend two world championships, one in Togliatti Russia and the second at Lestijarvi in Finland 2020.

The second event, just before COVID hit was moves from Parnu in Estonia at the last minute as the Baltic did not freeze in 2020! I wonder if this was due to global warming?.

These were both fantastic opportunities to introduce The SWOOSH Snowsailer to the hard water sailing world and test the design.

In Russia chassis only, in Finland the completed design.

At both of these events, much like in Antarctica I failed in the First Known Attempt to snow sail for 24 hours and set a distance record in a relatively controlled environment.
